Help, something unnecessary is bothering me

Well i still don't get it why steel bars are really expensive(940-970gp). It's really bothering me that i can't even sleep or play runescape properly. Do you have any idea why? What are the use of steel bars? Because if you smith the steel bars into armours, i don't think people will buy steel sword,scimitar etc...or will they for alching? And will people buy Mithril Bars if i make Mithril Bars? How much are they? And if they're 1k+ Why are they so expensive too?! I don't know why but the price of the Smelt bars really bothers me! I've been asking people around for like ages!

What i'm really asking is, why do people buy steel bars? For yews, i understand it why it's rather high priced because people need it for fletching and make it into yew long.. Some people said that they bought steel bars for smithing, summoning(Really?) or to make cannon balls(is it?) But i'm still not sure..

Its because of summoning i guess, steel minotaurs

lol.idk.but maybe becuz of no1 making it,its rarer,then so ex.

its rising because..ppl keep selling the steel bars at max therefore increasing the max price

I went GE and shouted " WHO BOUGHT MY STEEL BARS?!?!"

Then I shouted " WHO WANTS FREE STEEL BARS?"
Many answered me...LOL
Then I asked what they need the bar for?
They said.... affraid

lol..free stuff all so kiasu 1.

hmm i think cuz bars are hard to make ..
cuz coal took long to get th ore.. let alone the mith/addy/RUNE ores .
yeah think not much people make bars as they could easily sell of the ores they mine O_o
And 2nd thing is bcuz those damn merchers are soo rich to control over prices in rs =.=

I think it's because of construction. Need a lot of steel bars. Imagine so many people buying steel
bars from ge. Steel bars will increase by a lot.

yea construction is a contributing factor, dun forget the member world, we use steel bars in summoning and construction too

Or maybe rich ppl wanna train smithing so they juz buy steel bars to smelt into armour, dun forget, ppl do this for xp, and not money, so they juz sell their final product of steel to the general store.
